Purposeless, unless deliberately done to achieve some specific purpose(s). 2. Not known or anticipated by listener(s)/reader(s) from the beginning that talk or write-up will be rubbish. 3. Speech or writing is not paid serious attention to, on the discovery that talk or write-up is trash (connect to #2). _____________ 4. Time or thought in the presence of speaker or writer or period with document is spent or focused on something else (connect to #3). 5. No embarrassment arises from the situation, either immediately or later. That is, no regret(s) for being inattentive. 6. 'Rubbish' serves no purpose(s) for listener(s)/reader(s). That is, no gain whatsoever - nothing learned, valuable scarce time underutilized, understanding of a situation is worsened, etc. - for who talk or write-up is directed at or addressed to. _____________ 7. No apology or excuses/explanation is made by speaker or writer for excessively long speech or lengthy but 'worthless' writing. 8. Talk/write-up is 'listened' to or 'read' all through to arrive at the conclusion that it is nonsense. (To emphasize.) 9. Ramble achieves objective(s) for speaker/writer, whatever this/these is/are.
