RAMADAN Definition: The 9th month of the Muslim year, when Muslims do not eat or drink between sunrise and sunset. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. The don'ts are observed during the period that fast lasts: ____________________ a. No sexual intercourse or masturbation or lechery. b. No use of foul language or derogatory words. c. No menstruation by the female human being. d. No drumming or singing by the grown-ups. e. No dirtiness or filthiness. f. No disobedience of the laws of the land. g. No intravenous feeding! h. The Holy Qur'an will be read constantly all through season, especially during the spare times of who is undergoing fast. 6. The dos that should guide period will be faithfully observed: ___________________ a. Greater generosity - alms-giving, sharing, kindness, etc. b. More prayers and thanksgiving to Allah (SWT). c. Attending and listening to preachings in groups and public lectures and sermons, where available. d. Obeying the religious leaders, especially concerning the sighting of the moon, etc. that announces the beginning of fast, etc. e. Focus. Pray. No negative fallout or after-effect, such as bankruptcy, an illness, a pot belly, etc. will arise from abstention or restraint from food and drinks for particular period of time. 8. 'Starving Muslim' will benefit from fast and will not renounce faith in the future! And will make Al-jannah on the Day of Judgment!! 9. Muslim remains holy after the period - lives in peace with the neighbours, continues propagation of faith, etc., even if he or she is not able to go on the holy pilgrimage to Mecca! __________________________________ Quote: "O' Believers!
