| RALLY (1) Definition: A large public meeting, especially one held to support a particular idea or political party. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the organizers/participants. 2. Not illegal, that is, gathering is duly authorized/approved. 3. Cause is valid in the opinion of organizers and, or especially the participants (to emphasize). _____________ 4. Planned and properly organized, even if it is a protest rally. That is, meeting is never taken over by urchins/thugs/hoodlums. In other words, adequate security for the event is provided by the police, army, guards, vigilante, etc., as necessary. 5. Place (= venue, location, etc.) is adequate in terms of convenience and dimension. That is, no stampede, suffocation, etc. occurs during the event. No overcrowding! (Connect to #8.) 6. Duration of meeting will be appropriate for all the planned activities to take place and be completed as in the (a) programme. And no interruptions and/or delays caused by the elements. _____________ 7. No damage to public or private property as a result of the gathering of large number of people. 8. No injury to participants and organizers and security officials. 9. Meeting is well attended, even if attendance is by a number in the single digits! That is, main participants expected to be at event are present throughout the duration. _____________ 10. Members of the public who are not directly involved in the meeting are not disturbed or distracted/obstructed by the activities. 11. Meeting serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s). 12.
