| RAFFERTY'S RULES Definition: (Australian English, New Zealand English, informal) No rules at all. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to not have rules; no need. 2. Appropriately authorized, approved, endorsed; no illegality. 3. Permanent or for as long as required; no limitation. 4. Known and/or applicable to all involved in situation; no shock. 5. There will be no requirement for checks and balances; no caution. 6. A wish or hope for regulations will not be present; no regret. 7. A right, an entitlement, privilege, etc., if any, will not be denied, even if this has to be obtained forcefully or crudely; no loss. 8. No question, no confusion, no wonder, no hope (?); no order. 9. 'Chaotic' situation serves purpose(s); no complaint. _________________________ ... YET 'MEANINGFUL' ! | |
