| QUIETISM Definitions: i. (formal) An attitude to life which makes you calmly accept things as they are rather than try to change them. ii. Mental tranquility. iii. The doctrine that religious perfection on earth consists in passive and uninterrupted contemplation of the Deity. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the human being, to 'surrender', whatever this/these is/are, disclosed or not revealed. 2. Expectations or demands will be minimal - won't be shocked or dazed when disappointed. 3. No deep penetrating questions will be asked, and no detailed explanation will be demanded, when things go wrong or awry. 4. No suspicion or misgiving will be borne, no lingering blame expressed, no nit-picking or fault finding; leaves them alone. 5. Never gets involved in a prolonged argument or sustained brawl. And won't rebuke or chastise for a long period of time. 6. Never bored or tired from a repetitiousness, and therefore, will not demand a serious change, readjustment, total replacement, etc. of what would be happening or be available. 7. Never gives in to a strong negative emotions such as anger, sadness, anxiety, etc. - lets everything pass, believing that time, the great healer, will take care of any matter or problem. 8. Will never display a persistence, insistence, aggressiveness, stubbornness, etc., especially when others are involved in struggling for something with him or her. 9. Considers nothing an irreplaceable loss in situation. That is, attitude will achieve goal(s); calmness and peace of mind. _______________________________ ... even if you need to talk !
