QUID PRO QUO

Definitions:

i. (from Latin) A thing given in return for something else.

ii. (formal) A gift or advantage that is given to someone in return for something that they have done.

1. Purposeful and necessary, whatever is given in return.

2. Thing was not specifically promised or expected or anticipated.

3. Given timely or promptly and directly to the right beneficiary.

4. Value or worth will be considered as commensurate (to emphasize).

5. Recipient will not be expected to do some other new thing, after collecting what is given in return for an earlier thing or offered for an earlier act.

6. Thing will be clearly declared as a 'payback' before it is given.

7. Earlier or previous act or action necessitating thing being received was not deliberately done with the intention to receive the particular thing in return.

8. Thing or gift or advantage will be useful or usable or taken.
