| QUESTIONER Definition: A person who asks questions, especially in a broadcast programme or a public debate. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Has a purpose and considers it a necessity (to emphasize). 2. Authorized or approved. That is, properly appointed or selected and therefore, adequately prepared to ask questions. 3. Sensible and reasonable - will ask only important, significant and relevant questions, ... completely and clearly. 4. Intelligent and smart - will not cause offence by the manner of questioning. That is, will be courteous and humane, even where a question is deemed 'innocuous' or 'unfair' or 'inappropriate'. 5. Will have a presence of mind to recognize correct answers, thereby avoiding to repeat questions or demand for repetition(s) of answers. That is, person will listen attentively to response/replies. 6. Intonation, diction, pronunciation, etc. will be no problem for the people being questioned. And time taken to ask a question will not be deemed, by others, as unreasonable. 7. Gives or allows adequate time for a reply to one question before the next question is asked. 8. Provides no hint/clue to the person expected to give a reply or an answer and makes no suggestion, by way of asking a leading question, while performing task. 9. Serves purpose(s).
