| BATTLE-AXE (1) Definition: (informal) If you call a middle-aged or older woman a battle-axe, you mean she is very difficult and unpleasant because of her fierce and determined attitude. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Woman will have a basis or justification for attitude, even if considered unnecessary or purposeless by others. 2. Knows who her 'foes' are and/or also knows exactly what she wants. 3. Has some definite plan or strategy or method to adopt to achieve aim(s). And prepared or willing to deploy same as soon as necessary. 4. Fierceness and determination will be reasonable. That is, task(s) to which concerted efforts are devoted will be realizable. 5. Approach taken by hard and mean woman will not be offensive, physically and professionally, to other persons directly connected to or linked with her. 6.
