Definition: (especially British English, becoming old-fashioned) A person who is being taught, especially a child in a school.

1. Healthy and fit enough, even if physically challenged, to attend at stay all-day in class at school.

2. Made ready to be in school by appropriate preparation - washing, dressing, packing, etc. in the morning; encouraged and assisted.

3. Given the wherewithal, the necessary materials - books, lunch box, etc. for school, to aid learning and help in full participation in extra curricular activities.

4. Gets to school early enough, on each school day - well-fed, happy, excited; ready and eager to learn.

5. Listens and pays attention to the teacher(s), and behaves well, in class and on the playground. And does not forget whatever is taught!

6. Does all academic exercises, assignments and homework(s), in school and at home, learning fast and well in the process.

7. Obeys all school instructions, rules and regulations. (But never sent away from school for non-payment of tuition fess, etc.)
