Public servant
PUBLIC SERVANT

Definition: A public servant is a person who is appointed or elected to a public office, for example working for a local or state government.

1. Purposeful and necessary to have person saddled with role.

2. Appointed or election followed due process or was free and fair.

3. Knows duties and responsibilities attached to office or position.

4. Has a mandate. That is, knows when appointment or tenure will end.
