| PUBLIC COMPANY Definition: (abbreviation: plc, PLC) (British English) A company that sells shares in itself to the public. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary - to get the public involved in trading or the provision of services. 2. Well-managed or properly run. That is, company is legally registered, provides excellent services, produces/manufactures high quality products, and makes very good profits, to make it attractive to potential investors. _________ 3.
