| PUBLIC (1) Definition: (usually - the public) Ordinary people in society in general. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. They have purposes (and are a necessity). And these they know! 2. Have rights (and privileges). And these are upheld by the authority/authorities. 3. Have responsibilities (and duties). And these are all fulfilled. 4. Not discriminated against by the 'not-so-ordinary'. And vice-versa! ___________________________________________________ WHATEVER THEIR NUMBER, ... AND SITUATIONS. 5. Not left at the mercy of the other(s) - the middle (rich), upper (richer) or special (richest) class(es) (connect to #4). 6. Protected by the law (connect to #5, to emphasize). 7. Provided for by the society. That is, their health, security and living conditions are looked after, as appropriate, by the government and/or appropriate authorities (connect to #5 & #8). 8. People serve their purpose(s), and get rewarded appropriately. 9. They live by conventions, where there are no clear instructions/rules on how to behave.
