| BATTERING Definitions: i. A violent attack that injures or damages somebody/something. ii. If something takes a battering, it suffers very badly as a result of a particular event or action. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Not really prepared for or anticipated or desired, unless to undergo type of punishment is in the intrinsic nature of thing. 2. Thing unsuccessfully resisted anguish. Or thing is in no position to oppose or repel event or action that causes suffering. 3. Damage or loss arising from suffering will be major or substantial. 4. Thing battered cannot be of any use afterwards, except as an example of the end result of particular event or action. 5.
