| PRODUCTION LINE Definition: A line of workers and machines in a factory, along which a product passes, having parts made, put together or checked at each stage until the product is finished. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (to emphasize). 2. All the workers are present and all the machines are in their rightful positions. __________________ 3. Workers and machines are in top conditions: no likelihood of a human burnout or an equipment breakdown. (Connect to #2.) 4. Floor surface is safe for workers and factory space/environment is most conducive for the men/women and machines. __________________ 5. No talking or singing, no needless discussion or dancing, etc. by the workers while on the 'line', whether happy or sad, no possibility of a sabotage: no distraction. 6. No faulty electrical connections. That is, wiring or circuiting of the factory (= machines and equipment, floors and walls!) will not pose a danger to the workers. 7. 'Line' serves purpose(s).
