| PRIVATION (1) Definition: (formal) A lack of the basic things that people need for living. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Cause(s) or reason(s) for lack - no money, no supply, no fertility, no preservation, etc. - is/are realized or can be known. 2. Basic needs - not wants - are specific and identifiable; indisputable. 3. What is required, in terms of resources, especially money, to acquire the basic is measurable and/or assessable. 4. Serious efforts will be ongoing to secure a lifeline, so as to be able to acquire the needed basics. (To emphasize, connect to #7.) 5. Lack will not be possible to be traced directly to man or a law. That is, maltreatment, injustice, miscarriage of justice, etc. will not be responsible for the poor miserable situation. 6. Considerable loss, disadvantage, inconvenience, discomfort, etc. will be suffered in or from situation. 7. A lack - not a shortage - will continue for only a specific period of time.
