| PRISONER (1) Definition: A person who is kept in prison as a punishment, or while they are waiting for trial. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Person committed the crime for which he or she was jailed or is being appropriately prosecuted: convicted or answering an allegation in court, not merely in on the basis of a mere suspicion. 2. Person was tried and lawfully jailed. Or is lawfully remanded. __________________ 3. Person is well behaved, not a member of a prison gang! That is, person obeys all prison rules and regulations issued by the prison officers, warders and wardens. 4. Has people, outside the prison walls, that are concerned about him or her. And gets a prison visitor from time to time. __________________ 5. Person is not planning an individual or group escape and does not take advantage of a jailbreak! 6. Person is planning how to live a better, reformed life when he or she gets out of gaol. __________________ 7. Duration of stay is as pronounced in judgement or trial being awaited takes place and is concluded in good time. That is, stay in prison should not be for a day longer than necessary. In other words, a person who ought to be 'free' should not be incarcerated ! 8. Person comes out of prison alive and well! (Connect to #3 & #4). 9. Person will never return to jail once final release or freedom is secured; does not commit an offence that will get him or her back in jail!
