| PRICE SKIMMING Definition: The practice of selling a new product at a very high price. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six or seven elements, as applicable, should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for greedy seller ... good or bad product. 2. Item will be promoted, at the stated price, before being released. 3. Not practiced under a price controls regime. That is, will not be considered as unauthorized or illegal. In other words, not prohibited. 4. The marketability of the product and the sustenance of demand will be guaranteed, whatever the selling point and amount of orders placed. 5. Sellers will not be involved in price-fixing. That is, free market forces determined pricing mechanism, even if bargaining is allowed. 6. Seller achieves goal(s) - makes adequate sales; substantial profit. 7.
