| PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT Definition: An agreement made by a couple before they get married in which they say how their money and property is to be divided if they get divorced. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful, but only if there has been full financial disclosure. 2. Necessary in the opinion of the partners, either out of experience or advice by friends/relations/solicitors, etc. 3. Marriage is not contracted with the sole aim of sharing 'spoils'. That is, reason for getting married, for both partners are altruistic, noble: love. _____________________________ NOT DISLIKE OR DISTRUST. 4. Agreement is voluntarily entered into by both partners. 5. No input or contribution from a third party to arrangements contained in the agreement. 6. Agreement will be written and signed! And have the force of law. _________________________ LIKING OR FONDNESS ? 7. No ambiguity in the agreement. That is, prenup is comprehensive or detailed, taking care of all possible scenarios: trial separation or a future polygamous home or a situation of polyandry or ... . 8.
