Definition: [ ~ (of something/that ...) ] A feeling that something is going to happen, especially something unpleasant.

2. No previous clue or thought or inkling or sign, etc. of the likelihood of thing happening.

3. Feeling comes in 'torrents', heavy, not light: palpable. That is, sensibilities arises from the event.

4. Feeling appears at once, suddenly - does not build up, start slowly or creep in.

5. There is a period between feeling and actual occurrence when an action may be taken to probably avert event or prepare for the unpleasant happening.

6. Not expected, so no preparedness for feeling. And action, response, reaction or overreaction may, therefore, be inappropriate.
