| PREFECT (1) Definition: (in some British schools) An older student with some authority over younger students and some other responsibilities and advantages. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see definition). 2. 'Elected'. That is, appointee is, generally, very popular with the other students, however appointed. __________________ MALE OR FEMALE. 3. Leads by example. That is, does not do what he or she tells the other students not to do (unless the special things are within the privileges being enjoyed as the students' leader). __________________ TALL, MEDIUM HEIGHT OR NOT-SO-TALL. 4. Caries out duties responsibly, efficiently and effectively. 5. Does not misuse the opportunities or advantages had. __________________ ORPHAN OR SCION OR ... . 6. Good in the academics, practicals, etc. That is, prefect does not flunk exams! (To emphasize.) 7.
