| POWER PLAY (1) Definition: An attempt to gain an advantage by showing that you are more powerful than another person or organization, for example in a business relationship or negotiation. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and believed necessary by who tries. 2. 'Opponent' (person or organization) that an attempt (power game) is being made on, is considerably weaker (can be defeated). 3. The attempt will be made on time and while with the tools of 'war'. 4. Method or style adopted during attempt(s) will not be the normal and usual, or the familiar and predictable one, known by a 'rival', which will inevitably result in a longer period of time being required to achieve success. 5. Interests that advantage intends to confer will be permanent. That is, a single-mindedness will be present and efforts will, therefore, be consistent and sustainable. 6. Whatever will need to be done during attempt will be kept at for as long as necessary, until success is attained. And whatever loss that may be suffered will be considered as worthwhile during struggle. 7. Advantage that will be gained, will be maximally made use of.
