| POSTPONEMENT Definition: The shift of or an arrangement for an event, etc. to take place at a later time or date. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (connect to #7), but not seen as willy nilly. 2. Considered necessary, i.e. action is justified/justifiable. 3. Approved or authorized by the appropriate organ/official. __________________ 4. Timely announced - the postponement and the new arrangement. That is, not just a 'blank shift' that may be misconstrued for a cancellation. And not when everyone had departed and/or arrived for the event, etc. 5. New date, time, location, attendees, etc. are clearly indicated in the announcement (connect to #4). ____________ 6. Event, etc. holds in the end, no matter the number of shifts it experiences or experienced. (Connect to #2.) And eventual outcome will be exactly as planned or expected. 7. Reason or reasons for earlier cancellation(s) is/are mentioned at the happening, whenever it eventually holds. 8. Costs incurred or an overexpenditure, if any, that arises as a consequence, is affordable for the person or group or organization that postpones event, activity, etc. _____________________ OK.
