Basque language
BASQUE LANGUAGE

Definition: A language spoken in the West Pyrenees by about half a million people. Basque is unrelated to any other present-day European language. It constitutes an isolated remnant of an Iberian language which may have been spoken in France and Spain. It can be traced back only as far as the 16th century.
