| POLLING STATION Definition: (British English) A building where people go to vote in an election. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Marked or signposted. That is, with a notice stating that it is a place for casting votes. In other words, place is approved (specific) and recognized (identifiable) by the law as a voting centre. 3. Safe and adequately protected. And will not be damaged as a result of polling activities. 4. Has an appropriate number of polling booths. And all the necessary things to enable polling to take place successfully. 5.
