Purposeful and necessary for recipient. 2. Earned. That is, money was 'sweated' for! 3. Received early, when it can still serve some purpose(s). 4. Smallness of money is not because it is a half-pay or the sum remaining after a loan repayment, certain illegal deduction(s), etc. had been made from the full wage.
