PINK SLIP

Definition: (North American English, informal) A letter given to somebody to say that they must leave their job.

2. Letter is issued in line with the terms in the conditions of service or a letter of employment, under which an employee can be sacked or laid off work.

3. Letter is appropriately authorized and signed, with details as necessary. That is, reasons for sack, entitlements, if any, etc. are contained in letter.
