| PETTINESS Definition: Having a quality of being petty (= caring too much about small and unimportant matters, especially when this is unkind to other people). ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Excessive care or extreme concern is deliberately and glaringly shown. That is, who is being small-minded will be aware of the effect or impact of actions. In other words, act will be purposeful. 2. Complaints or grumblings or whingeing or protestations will be made by the person or people who will feel the brunt of unkindness, and heard by the 'wicked', even though this will amount to nothing. 3. A vital gain or strategic advantage or substantial benefit will not be obtained from much punctiliousness.
