| PESTER POWER Definition: (informal) The ability that children have to make their parents buy things, by repeatedly asking until they agree. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, especially for child/children. 2. Footing or basis of ability will be genuine. That is, child or children will ordinarily be well-behaved, studious, obedient, etc. 3. Ability will not include a physical act or action such as throwing a tantrum, tugging at parents clothes or apparel, causing a damage, or some destruction, or resulting in filthiness. 4. Period that it takes to finally 'force' parents to buy thing(s), will be considered, by child/children, as reasonable. That is, positive response will be obtained in good time. 5. Ask or asking tactics will not include use of begging or pleading, the issue of a threat or blackmail, involving a 'collaborator', etc. 6. Things bought will be used.
