| PEN (1) Definition: (often in compounds) An instrument made of plastic or metal used for writing with ink. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have and/or use instrument. 2. Colour of ink is specific and identifiable - exactly that wanted. 3. Amount of ink is measurable and/or assessable - adequate enough for use that instrument will be put to. 4. Manufactured or produced to the highest quality, without a likelihood of an overflow or a slip-off of liquid container from its plastic or metal casing. 5. The nib of instrument is strongly securely in place - won't fall out or break off, especially while in use. 6. The writing point can be covered or closed when not in use - won't ordinarily cause a stain to hand, cloth, bag, etc. 7.
