| PEACEMAKING Definition: Peacemaking efforts are attempts to persuade countries or groups to stop fighting with each other. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary, by the peacemakers. 2. Not by those that contributed initially to the start of fighting. 3. Peacemakers will not look forward to a direct material benefit. 4. Efforts will commence on time before irreparable damage is done. 5. No sop or appeasement, financial inducement or monetary reward, etc. will be made to any or all of the countries or groups fighting. 6. Peacemaker(s) will not become a pig-in-the-middle during tries. That is, there will be the liberty to hands-off involvement, if need be. 7. Who tries will not suffer an unplanned loss as a direct outcome. 8. Efforts will not be sponsored or paid for by the 'combatants'. 9.
