Patriot
PATRIOT

Definition: A person who loves their country and who is ready to defend it against an enemy.

* All four elements should be in.


1. Person is known, as a patriot, by what he or she does (= action) or does not do (= inaction). That is, this person is not the one to claim or say that he/she is patriotic.

NOT NECESSARILY A MEMBER OF THE ARMED FORCES OR MARINES OR COASTGUARDS OR THE POLICE.


2. Not a person with a dual citizenship or nationality!

NOT NECESSARILY AN AMBASSADOR OR A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT OR POLITICIAN.


3. A sacrifice was or will be made by this person. That is, something really precious, such as health, freedom or even life, was or will be given up by this person, in furtherance of love of, and willingness to defend, his or her country.

4. Person is a loyal, law-abiding citizen. That is, knows when to put aside partisanship or personal interest for the good of country. And makes this sacrifice, without hesitation, whenever required.
