| PASTOR Definition: A minister in charge of a Christian church or group, especially in some nonconformist churches. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, even if newly consecrated. (To teach and direct the flock to the straight and narrow path.) 2. Has undergone the necessary training and qualified accordingly. (Whichever branch or denomination, however long it took to graduate.) 3. Must believe that he or she is called by God and, therefore, would be filled with the Holy spirit. (And never tries to provide evidence.) 4. Has or will have a dedicated following, devoted congregation or reliable and consistent set of churchgoers. (And ready to go all over, or be transferred to anywhere, to preach the Word.) 5. Must not deceive the followers. That is, will not explain or interpret the Holy books wrongly, to suit his or her personal interests or whims. (Has the fear of God Almighty, the all-knowing, in his or her heart.) 6. Will never do anything that will bring about an expulsion from the clergy or result in excommunication. And will not renounce or deny faith under any threat, guise, etc. (Respects secular laws in addition to obeying the commandments.) __________________________________ more than a 'DO WHAT I SAY ...,". 7. His or her attitude and behaviour, at all times, will be holy or be Christ-like. That is, ecclesiastical bearing and private conduct will show good examples in every situation. (Humble, fasting, loving, righteous, respectful, etc.) 8. His or her sermons will be Holy Bible-based. That is, won't let down Christianity by what is said on the pulpit. (And his or her supplication will almost 'move mountains'!) 9. Honest and sincere with collections and declares the complete income or earnings, if any, fully to the vicar or whoever is superior to him/her in parish. (And lives above board. That is, very contented.) 10. Must never condemn or judge other religions or denominations or pastors or sermons. (Should leave the 'perpetrators' to his or her Maker, on Judgement Throne!) 11. Will likely, no must, make heaven on the Day of Judgement. (Or be made to suffer perdition for misleading the faithful.) _________________________ NOW, ... LET US PRAY. | |
