PARTING SHOT

Definition: (idiomatic - a parting shot) A final remark, especially an unkind one, that someone makes as they leave.

1. Purposeful and necessary for talker.

2. Specific and identifiable remarks. That is, what is said is clearly audible to whom it is directed at.

3. Thought over or about before it is said. That is, deliberately made, not necessarily well-thought! And not necessarily impromptu or impulsive.

4. Remark is made when out of quick physical reach. That is, some reasonable distance exists between speaker and whom talk is directed at. In other words, well timed, when remark can not be immediately responded to.

5. Speaker has no immediate intention of returning to place/location where remark was made (connect to #4).
