| PARENTAL LEAVE Definition: Time away from work, usually without pay, that parents are allowed in order to look after their children. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to give parents time off to love and care for the children, whatever their sexes and ages. 2. Paternity or parentage of a child or the children will not be an issue or a bone of contention before and during the period. 3. Children will enjoy the presence of parents all through. That is, time authorized for 'nannying' will serve purpose(s). 4. No temporary or part-time employment will be had, during the time, by either or both parents, to supplement 'nil income'. 5. Union of parents or marriage will not be strained as a result of constant closeness of couple or the regularity of presence of spouse. 6. The time or period of absence will not be extended unilaterally, by the parents, without timely official approval. 8.
