| PAPER TIGER Definition: A person, a country or a situation that seems or claims to be powerful or dangerous but is not really. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Usually impresses the weak, inferior, etc. That is, portrayal, poise, commentary, presentation, etc. will be seemingly convincing for the 'unwary'. (Connect to #2.) (See perfect BOAST (1).) 2. Will hide weaknesses, mistakes, fears, key features, etc. and will avoid getting involved in a competitive endeavour, serious argument, physical confrontation, etc. (Connect to #3.) Person or country would make concerted efforts to become actually powerful later, after the 'secret' is out.
