| BARGAINING CHIP Definition: A fact or a thing that a person or a group of people can use to get an advantage for themselves when they are trying to reach an agreement with another group. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Fact or thing is specific and identifiable. 2. Information or object is measurable and/or assessable. 3. Fully owned or possessed. Or the appropriate authorization to do a a sort of 'trade-in' or 'trade-off' has been secured. That is, fact or thing cannot be lost or stolen by the 'opposition'. 4. Fact or thing will be seriously desired or required, needed or wanted, etc. by the other person or group. And never placed in somebody else's hands. 5. Not possible for the other person or group to have access to exact or very similar fact or thing, through other source(s). 6. Lifespan or longevity is not in doubt. That is, relevance or importance of fact or thing will be guaranteed, if secured by the other person or group. 7. Seemingly safe to have. Or the negative or downside, danger or risk, if any, in particular fact or thing, will remain unknown to person or group desirous of same, until ... . 8. Fact or thing will be 'tightly' held to, as if there is a reluctance to give it away. That is, a quick readiness or easy willingness to surrender thing will not be noticeable (To emphasize.) 9. No serious or unplanned loss will be suffered when given away, in exchange, whether a substitute is available or not. That is, gain that will be secured from releasing fact or thing will outweigh the benefit of holding on to it. 10.
