PANIC (1)

Definition: A sudden feeling of great fear that cannot be controlled and prevents you from thinking carefully.

* All eight elements would be in.

1. No foreboding, warning, caution, alarm, hint, foreknowledge, etc. before cause of fear sets in, whatever the cause: usually blind.

2. No readiness, preparation, anticipation, planning, etc. to be in situation as everything prior seemed 'so cool': confusing.

3. No ability to recognize or appreciate the good or goodness that might be in or that could arise from situation.

4. No possibility of remembering plans, intentions, thoughts, positive ideas, rehearsed protective actions, etc. that would be useful, when situation arises or while it lasts.

5. No 'silence', no indecision, no shame about action or response to follow; no inaction. That is, fear will result in a spontaneous act be this a commotion, pandemonium, hurry, reflex, etc., even if it will be regretted or derided later.

6. No immediate gain will arise from a reaction or an overreaction that will be the result of not thinking properly, even if there is no loss, embarrassment, inconvenience, etc. In other words, there will be no time to 'pause and stare'.

7. No panic button to come to the immediate aid of who is afraid and there also would be no brainwave to help in the emergency. Or where a support or an 'escape route' is available, this will not be taken, or even understood, at the time.

8. No appeal for calm will be heeded, no physical restraint will suffice, no reassuring words or action from or by others present, if any, will have a meaning in agonizing state.
