Overfishing
OVERFISHING

Definition: The process of taking so many fish from the sea, a river, etc. that the number of fish in it becomes very low.

1. Purposeful and necessary for the 'fishermen'.

2. Fish are taken 'naturally' - angling, 'netting', etc. - not with chemicals, pollutants, etc.

3. Fish is not taken away with the sea water, that is, ocean or river level is not greatly reduced as a direct outcome of fishing.

4. The fish left behind are fed, during fishing session or afterwards (by the fisherman or fishermen!).

5. Fish taken are all optimally used - eaten, sold, studied, etc. - not one fish is wasted.

6. Ocean, sea, river, etc. is not fished in immediately after a set of fish is taken out of it (connect to #4).
