| ORDER (4) Definition: [ ~ (for somebody to do something)/ ~ (to do something) ] Something that somebody is told to do by somebody in authority. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements would be in. 1. Purposeful, even if believed uncalled for by the person being ordered. 2. Has a known penalty or sanction for its non-compliance or for its not being obeyed. 3. Thing that is directed to be done is specific and identifiable. 4. Legal. (Or if illegal, duly authorized/approved, and if very necessary, witnessed.) 5. Thing is doable or achievable - 'find a way, my friend' - in the opinion of who gives instruction (connect to #6, to emphasize). 6. The wherewithal to do thing is available, possessed or provided. 7. Demand or request is timely made by 'the boss', whoever this is. 8. What has been asked to be done can be monitored. That is, thing is measurable and/or assessable. 9. Directive is conveyed in the right form or through the appropriate channel or medium. 10. No option of refusal, debate, a shift or postponement, etc. is available to who has been ordered. 11. Directive is plain, unambiguous and heard or read, or the signal or sign given to do thing, if applicable, is clearly seen!
