| OPT-OUT (1) Definition: (often used as an adjective) (in Britain) The action of a school or hospital that decides to manage its own money and is therefore no longer controlled by a local authority or similar organization. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Has a purpose and considers it necessary to be independent. 2. Options are well-thought through before decision is taken. 3. Action occurs timely to help achieve objective(s). (To emphasize.) 4. Service, end result, output, production, etc. will improve as a direct consequence of pull-out. That is, no bad result will be had by school or hospital from action taken. In other words, funds management will be more effective and therefore profitable. 5. School or hospital will not seek financial support or advice on finances from any of the organ(s) of group pulled-out from. 6.
