| OPPOSITION (3) Definition: (usually - the Opposition) The main political party that is opposed to the government; the political parties that are in a parliament but are not part of the government. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Conceded at the last election(s). (To emphasize.) And knows early that it is no 'death sentence' !! 2. Criticizes the government in power constructively. Therefore, hopefully, keeps the officials of government on their toes. 3. Proffers 'workable' solutions to all problems. That is, it's not engaged in just armchair criticism. (Connect to #1.) 4. Cooperates fully with the government in a period of national crises, e.g. during wartime. _________________________________________ VIBRANT, VIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE.
