| OPPORTUNISM (1) Definition: (disapproving) The practice of using situations unfairly to gain advantage for yourself without thinking about how your actions will affect other people. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Practice is purposeful and necessary for opportunist. 2. Situation was not created by the person who takes advantage. 3. Plea or request, rule or regulation, if any, to be considerate of others, will not be heeded or obeyed. 4. The others in situation will lose or suffer, be disadvantaged, etc. as a direct result of practice. 5. Opportunist will not experience an unplanned loss, face a danger or risk, etc. and advantage gained will be retained for duration desired, and will be used or usable. 6. Unfairness will not be denied.
