| OPINION FORMER Definition: Opinion formers are people who have a lot of influence over what the public thinks about things. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. 1. Person will be aware of 'power' and so deliberately uses this, without needing to spend material resources to 'convince' the public. 2. Usually informed, knowledgeable, experienced, brilliant and all. 3. Oratory or erudition or writing prowess will be enthralling. That is, whatever person says, does or refuses to do, will make good sense. 4. Exertion of influence will be done with the expectation of a gain. 5. Access to and control of the media or the means of transmitting information will be fully possessed or easily and unconditionally available to person. And he or she will additionally be a past master in human relations, one-upmanship, grandstanding, etc. 6. Never cares about the opinion polls! That is, acts or actions that influences others will be taken promptly to have the desired impact. 7. Will not be a flip-flop; remains true to a point of view and the proposed course of action (where applicable), which the others will adopt.
