| BAPTISM (1) Definition: A Christian ceremony in which a few drops of water are poured on somebody or they are covered with water, to welcome them into the Christian Church and often to name them. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements above the line should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (see definition). 2. Conducted by Priest(s) or official(s) that is/are Christ-like. 3. Person being welcomed is born-again. ______________________________ THE SAVIOUR IS ALIVE ! 4. Ceremony includes a short sermon or homily. 5. Conducted in the presence of a witness or witnesses - apart from Almighty God ! 6. Ceremony is conducted with very clean water (= holy water?) that has been prayed over. 7. Water is of the appropriate kind - warm, lukewarm, cold, hot, etc. - not the type that can cause an injury or illness to person being baptized. 8.
