| OLD BOY NETWORK Definitions: i. (idiomatic - the old boy network) (British English, informal) The practice of men who went to the same school using their influence to help each other at work or socially. ii. (British, disapproving) When people talk about the old boy network, they are referring to a situation in which people who went to the same public school or university use their positions of influence to help each other. iii. The members of a society (usually upper-class), closely interconnected, who share information, and secure advantages for each other: this form of association. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. No illegality will be committed in the course of giving help. 6. Who gets help will give maximum effort, loyalty, cooperation, etc. 7. Help will be offered promptly, unconditionally, at all times, and assistance will cover every interest of the ex-schoolmate(s). 8.
