| OIL SPILL Definition: When oil has come out of a ship and caused pollution. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements would be in. 1. Ship is in the waters or ocean legally. 2. The vessel would have been 'certified' as seaworthy. 3. Spillage would be noticed, reported and responded to in good time. 4. The investigation of incident or an inquest will happen afterwards. 5. Occurrence was not from some sabotage or piracy (connect to #4). 6. Serious efforts will be made later to restore blighted environment. 7. The people, if any, deprived of livelihood, will be compensated. 8. The leak (= ship's tank) will be repaired as soon as possible. 9. (Reserved.) (Not all of the oil leaked out!) (Connect to #2 & #5.) 10.
