| OFFICIAL (1) Definition: (often in compounds) A person who is in a position of authority in a large organization. ______________________________________________________________________ * All twelve elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Properly engaged or employed and earned position honestly. 3. Has and knows specific and identifiable responsibilities. 4. Can prove validity of claim to position, at any point in time, by an official identification, documentary evidence, etc. 5. Has acquired or will be given, as applicable, the required experience, training, qualification, support, etc. 6. Will be provided with the wherewithal to perform duty. 7. Never protests or joins an industrial action against his or her employer - the large organization. (To emphasize.) 8. Always able or capable, ready and prepared to perform task(s), without fear or favour. 9. Loyal to organization and reliable in the performance of duties, as long as he or she is on its payroll. That is, won't deny or disclaim rank or identity, would not be ashamed of title, etc., etc. 10. Authority is current and valid. That is, person will not be considered as lame-duck because of time limits or tenure limitations. 11. Serves purpose(s), honestly and lawfully, responsibly and proudly, as expected by organization. 12.
