| OFF SEASON (1) Definition: The time of the year that is less busy in business and travel. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Time (= period) is fixed and known to businesses and clients/travellers, etc., even though never marked on a calender! 2. Time arrives when expected - not early or late. 3. Chances of increased safety and/or less risks for shoppers and travellers, hopefully, exists at this time. 4. Output (production level) reduces or decreases, with consequent fallout such as job losses, closeouts, etc. (to emphasize). 5. Prices of goods and services remain unchanged. 6. Profits decrease for businesses, as premises or vessels cannot be used in other ways to generate funds. 7. Variety or choices of available goods and/or services are unchanged (connect to #5 & #6, to emphasize). 8. Situation lasts for appropriate duration. That is, a natural occurrence or an unforeseen encumbrance does not lead to the extension of the period. 9. Nothing negative occurs at this time to affect a rebound after the end of low season.
