NON SEQUITUR (1)

Definition: (from Latin, formal) A statement that does not seem to follow what has just been said in any natural or logical way.

1. Purposeful and necessary, to make statement, not the strangeness.

2. Deliberately said, even if only the speaker knows this. That is, person uttering statement is assumed to be in a proper frame of mind.

3. What is said is concise and unmistakable to listener/hearer.

4. Unnatural or illogical statement is not mistaken for something else and therefore misrepresented, leading to an unplanned outcome.

5. Main talk or speech is returned to afterwards, and continued or concluded appropriately.

6. No serious loss arises from statement (connect to #4).

7. Statement achieves objective(s) or serves purpose(s).
