| NOMINATION (1) Definitions: i. The act of suggesting or choosing somebody as a candidate in an election, or for a job or an award; the fact of being suggested for this. ii. An instance of nominating. ______________________________________________________________________ * All seven elements should be in. * This is about an act, not the fact. 1. Purposeful and necessary, for who suggests. 2. Requested or required by convention, protocol, tradition, etc. 3. Follows due process in respect of time/timing, procedures, registration, payment of fees, documentation, etc., as applicable. 4. Prospective nominee is consulted before the candidature is announced. Or there is a certainty that person to be proposed will not object. 5. Person has an ability or a capability to do effectively what he or she is being proposed for (to emphasize). 6. There is a sure vacancy to be filled! That is, post, prize, office, etc. is, or will soon be, there for the taking. 7.
